31st of December 2009. The year has finally come to an end. Now's probably the time to do the customary summary of the year, so here goes!
There were many things that really made me happy this year. Things that still brings about a smile to my face, things that brought joy to my heart.
1. Orientation
2. Hockey
3. Picnic@Marina Barrage
4. PreU Sem
5. My birthday!
6. Mission BIP
7. Prom
And then there were all these important people in my lives, who stuck by me throughout this whole entire year, in random order!
1. 0831B!
2. Belle
3. YC & JM

4. Ng-chan gang
5. SMLJ (Small Medium Large Jumbo)
6. LK
What is a year without it's share of misfortunes? Lady luck was definitely NOT smiling upon me this year, espescially since I have had my fair share of visits to the hospitals.
This year, I lost my grandfather. My grandfather was hospitalised in various hospitals and hospices ever since mid-course last year. This year, he finally passed on at Ren Ci Hospice. I can still remember slipping in between the curtains and seeing his lifeless body. The train rides that I took down to Redhill station after school everyday, and the path that I walk to the funeral. And the day of the cremation? 26 Feb. WS's birthday. I can still remember the viewing room at the Mandai Crematorium. The metal doors that slide open, and the automated way which the coffin entered the furnace. Like how my relatives wailed and how the tears ran. Like how the ceremony ended just like that. I never believed in the supernatural, but when the bus passed by Ren Ci Hospice and it started drizzling, I started to believe that Grandpa was crying.
At the same time, I found out that I broke my thumb. I was pretty confused and frustrated. Afterall, it was my right thumb that broke. Even though I could still write, my thumb would hurt sometimes when I wrote too much or too fast, such as in exams. Even during Alvls the pain was still there. And then the confusion and frustration came when coach demanded me back for training and matches even with my broken thumb. I mean, I get his rationale. But there's still this fear and worry that my thumb would get hit again during the trainings or the match. I know that there will definitely by injuries when you play sports, but there will definitely still be the fear and worry there right?? Like if my thumb gets hit again, there goes my chances of writing and then what? I'll have to repeat another academic year?? The day that I went for my appointment with the hand specialist, I received a goodluck msg as I walked out of the classroom. It had made me smile. Anyway, my thumb's healed now I guess, though it's like out of shape! :(
The hospital visits dont just end here. There was daddy's day operation a few months back. And recently, just recently, my uncle suffered a heart attack and was warded in the ICU at Raffles Hospital. Luckily both daddy and uncle are alright now!
Alvls was like shingz, to borrow a word from Ris Low. The madness, the frustrations, the tiredness, all for the sake of one certificate. Having to wake up early on weekends to study, staying up at night to study, giving up the Redang trip and various other activities just to study, every single minute of my life was about studying! Alvls is simply cruel to everyone. It makes one goes insane and drives you crazy. URGH.
And then that last major decision that I made before the year came to a close. While the ending wasnt exactly what I had hoped for, I dont regret doing what I did. I guess I dont want to grow old and then look back to regret not doing/saying anything about it. Maybe it makes me sad and lonely right now, but I had to do what I did I guess.
This year is not a year that I really want to remember much of. In fact, this year kind of rank as one of the worst year in my life. 2010, a new year, a new beginning I hope.
I dont feel any love anymore

Finally agreed to go for dinner with LK. Dined at Aston for the first time. Not bad I guess. Prefered LK's fish rather than my teriyaki chicken though. Dinner conversation was kind of awkward I guess. I mean, what do you say to someone whom you have not met for so long, not counting that time when he came to accompany me at yishun library whilst I was studying for the dreaded As? Conversations went something along the lines of "When I was in sec4, blahblahblahblahblahblah". At that time when it happened, I was in sec3 and LK sec4. So did those stuff happened before or after?
